Fall Rhode Island Festivals in 2015

Looking for things to do near Providence or Newport? You can find the dates for a number of different events in Rhode Island here.  For such a small state, RI plays host to a pretty good number of fall and harvest festivals in fall 2015.  Plus, if you are looking to enjoy seafood in the fall, there’s definitely a festival for that here.  There’s even one to celebrate a mysterious cornmeal flatbread known as a Johnny Cake.  So once you have sobered up from Oktoberfest in Rhode Island, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful weather of autumn. Rhythm and Roots Festival – Charlestown – September 4-6, 2015
Spend Labor Day Weekend at Ninigret Park. 18th annual event. 5 stages of live music. Full festival and day tickets for sale. Camping available.

Rhode Island Seafood Festival – Providence, RI – September 12-13, 2015

Slater Park Fall Festival – Pawtucket, RI – September 12-13, 2015.  Arts festival, event, and fireworks with activities at Daggett Farm, Looff Carousel, Watercooler Society, and historic Daggett House.

Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival – Newport, RI – September 25-27, 2015
Wine tasting, celebrity chef appearances, gala and after dark party.

Newport International Boat Show – Sept 17-20, 2015
13 acres of powerboats and sailboats for boarding and review. Tickets go on sale in June. Parking is $16 per vehicle.

Smith’s Castle Colonial Harvest Festival – North Kingstown, RI – Sept 26-27, 2015

October 2015:

Norman Bird Sanctuary Harvest Fair – Middletown, RI – October 3-4, 2015.  Time for the 41st harvest fair at the Norman Bird Sanctuary.  Features include crafters and artisan booth, local foods and beer vendors, live music, and family fun.

Providence Honk Fest Pronk Fest – Providence, RI – October 12, 2015

Beervana Fest – Cranston, RI – October 16, 2015
150+ world class beers. Only 1000 tickets available. Advance tickets are $50 online. Located at the historic Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. Runs from 6:30 – 10 PM.

Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival – Newport – Oct 17-18, 2015
25th annual event. Named one of 10 fabulous fall festivals on the coast by Coastal Living Magazine. Enjoy fresh, local seafoods and desserts. Live music. Kid’s activities include face painting and pumpkin painting.

Flickers RI International Horror Film Festival – Providence, RI – October 19-25, 2015
They are changing the name of this event in 2015 – so stay tuned!

Great International Fall Beer Festival – Providence, RI – October 24, 2015

November 2015:

WaterFire – Providence, RI – Nov 7, 2015.  A full range of activities featuring “WaterFire Salute to Veterans.
