A Labor Day weekend fair about 40 minutes north of Yakima. Held in conjunction with the Ellensburg Rodeo. Since 1885.

Deutschesfest - Odessa, WA - Sep 19 to Sep 22, 2024
With 15,000 visitors annually, there are plenty of attractions for all ages, including authentic German food, city-block big biergarten, live music, a parade, kids zone, street vendors, helicopter rides and more.

Fremont Oktoberfest - Seattle, WA - Sep 20 to Sep 22, 2024
Annual event for 20+ years! The popular Seattle Oktoberfest with seasonal microbrews and German steins in the beer garden, live music, Texas Chainsaw pumpkin carving contest, 5K, Buxom Royalty costume contest. Kids area on Saturday and Sunday with zucchini racing and pumpkin carving. Dogtoberfest on Sunday. Location: Fremont neighborhood, Seattle

Italian Festival - Seattle, WA - Sep 28 to Sep 29, 2024
Annual event to celebrate Italian culture at the Seattle Center. Enjoy a grape stomp, car show, bocce and Italian food. Since 1988.

Bier on the Pier - Anacortes, WA - Oct 4 to Oct 5, 2024
Drinks from 40 breweries, wineries, and cideries served as well as food and live music. 21+ only.

Oktoberfest Northwest - Puyallup, WA - Oct 4 to Oct 6, 2024
The Annual Washington Oktoberfest (held for 15 years) will have beer, brats and authentic entertainment. There’s entertainment planned from noon to almost midnight. It’s also the home of the Hammerschlagen Tournament of Champions in the northwest. The Hammerschlagen is one of the most addictive bar games ever and has been happening at this German festival since 2005. Contestants try to drive a nail into wood faster than their opponents. Entry to the Hammerschlagen is free but first come, first served. Great prizes to the top three contestants. Other events include the 5K, wiener dog races, stein holding, corn hole toss, beer pong, chicken dance and Kinderhaus/Family Fest Zone. Kids are welcome to try their own version of the Hammerschlagen with supervision. Shop for souvenirs at the German Corner. This is an all ages event until 7 PM and 21+ only after 7 PM every evening. As an indoor event, it happens rain or shine.

Birdfest and Bluegrass - Ridgefield, WA - Oct 5, 2024
25th anniversary. BirdFest and Bluegrass is the main event every year that the Friends puts on to bring awareness to Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, and all that it has to offer. Celebrate the Sandhill Crane returning to the Refuge, a huge stately bird that is endangered in Washington State, and celebrate everything the Refuge is and what it brings to the community. With endangered species, hundreds of migratory species, an auto tour route, photo blind, walking trails, the Cathlapotle Plankhouse, education and habitat restoration programs, and so much more – there is a lot to celebrate, and a lot to learn. There are workshops, hikes and walks all catered to teach you how to use the Refuge. You can learn how to listen for bird species, identify plants, about the geology of the area, the peoples who came before us and still tend to the land, how to take photos of it all, paint the landscape, and much more.

CroatiaFest - Seattle, WA - Oct 6, 2024

Leavenworth Oktoberfest - Leavenworth, WA - Sep 29 to Oct 14, 2023
Leavenworth, located two hours east of Seattle, celebrates Oktoberfest for three weekends in October. Started in 1998, it is now attended by more than 10,000 people annually. Four venues of activities for families to enjoy. Keg tapping ceremony every Saturday at 1 PM. The Leavenworth Marathon is held on one of the Oktoberfest weekends. Kirkland Oktoberfest - Kirkland, WA - Sep 22 to Sep 24, 2023
Both local craft beers and German imports in the biergarden, brats, multiple entertainment stages with live music, wiener dog races (typically Sunday), and costume contest on the Kirkland waterfront. Games include foosball, stein hoisting, keg rolling, beer pong and corn hole. Homebrew competition takes place before event with award ceremony at the festival. Canceled for 2021, look for their return in 2022. Normally: Hosted during the cranberry harvest on the second weekend in October. Bog tours, crafts, food and music to celebrate the harvest. Admission to the events at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum is covered by purchase of a $5 collectible button. The Cranberry Museum is free. The Cranberry Trolley transports visitors between the two locations.
