It started in the summer of 2011 when the three cofounders came together to solve this problem that they had each been working on independently. Now, you can get from place to place at a top speed of between 18 and 24 miles per hour with an available range of between 7 and 14 miles. The company had one of the most successful Kickstarters to date when they launched it to start their product in Fall 2012.

    In 2017, Boosted offered a number of Black Friday deals for its customers in order to entice purchases. These sales included a $100 gift card with every board purchased. They also offered a $200 discount on Extended Range Packs that started shipping in January. The regular price of $399 for a stand-alone extended range pack was discounted to $199 with a reservation during board purchase. They also offered 0% APR financing for US customers on repayment plans of 3, 6 or 12 months along with their standard risk-free 30 day trial and 6 month warranty. Boosted Boards called it their best deal they have ever offered!
