Find the best deal on an Amazon Smart Oven and AmazonBasics Microwave during Black Friday 2020. Funtober will search for price discounts and sales among the Black Friday ads for all of the Amazon smart home products from Thanksgiving Day to Cyber Monday 2019.
The new Amazon cooking product is a 4-in-1 which serves as a microwave, air fryer, food warmer and oven in one. The device is controlled in part by an Alexa app which allows you to scan prepackaged foods from places like Whole Foods and it will cook them properly.
It is regularly priced at $249.99 and will come with an Echo Dot according to reports. Since Alexa is not built into the smart oven, it can be given voice commands through the paired Echo speaker.
This is the newest Alexa-powered kitchen device released by Amazon. Last year saw the introduction of the AmazonBasics Microwave in November. The Smart Oven will begin shipping on November 14, 2019.
Amazon Smart Oven Black Friday Deals – It is not yet known whether Amazon will offer price discounts online or in partner stores for the smart oven this year. Based on last year’s experience with its new, connected products, there will not be any huge price discounts and any sales will probably be very limited in duration.
Smart Oven Cyber Monday Deals – Amazon does not typically due many new sales on the Monday after Thanksgiving for its products. It usually announces its own sales well in advance in November and then runs them throughout the holiday shopping seasons. But we will see if Amazon decides to innovate again this year.
The AmazonBasics Microwave is powered by your Alexa device and can be controlled by voice commands. This is an interesting offering by Amazon and provides a glimpse into the future of smart products.
Currently available for pre-order at only $59.99, the AmazonBasics Microwave is going to be a big Black Friday 2018 seller. The actual release date is November 11th.It’s an affordable smart device and in my opinion Amazon proving to other manufacturers that it can be done affordably which bucks the trend of very price smart home gadgets.
The AmazonBasics Microwave can be give start, start and specific reset cooking voice commands through your Alexa device. While not exactly the Jetsons oven it is a step closer. For example, you can say “Alexa microwave popcorn” and it will. On the face of the device there is an “Ask Alexa” button. Press this and you can give cooking commands directly to the microwave without using your Alexa device. The Dash re-order service has also been integrated to the microwave, so when products run low it automatically reorders them. At launch it will only be able to reorder popcorn, but it’s not hard to predict that this will lead to other microwavable foods form Whole Foods, which was recently purchased by Amazon.
The setup is as simple as three steps.Plug in the microwave, connect to through the app and giver your Echo device a command. There are other smart microwave offering on the market, but this one is really affordable at $59.99.Most of the other options cost several hundred dollars. The actual value of the convenience of having a smart microwave seems debatable at this point. However, if you need a new microwave it is very affordable and you do get the added functionality. That being said it’s not hard to imagine how far this functionality will go in the next few years. While hopeful that we will get to the Jetsons oven, pick what you want and boom it spits it out a few minutes late, we aren’t there yet.
